Who we are and our history
Méliuz was founded in 2011 with the mission of making consumer relationships smarter, ensuring that all
parties always benefit.
We started by offering cashback at the largest online stores. We expanded to physical retail, mobile credit
purchases, and app usage, and today, we reward our users even for everyday purchases through their receipts.
But we always want more. For us, every day is the start of something new. Our goal is to integrate the shopping
experience into our users’ financial lives, creating opportunities for both customers and retailers to
benefit.
Today, Méliuz has an even more complete ecosystem. Beyond the shopping experience, we offer free digital
accounts, credit cards, simplified and customized investment in CDB securities, and much more—all in a single
app.
We remain committed to unlocking smarter consumer relationships, benefiting:
Users: free access to brands, products, services, coupons, and cashback.
Partners: technology and data intelligence for customer acquisition and retention, increasing
sales, and optimizing marketing investments.
Méliuz: revenue from sales made and ads on the platform.
In our business model, partners advertise on our channels and pay commissions for sales made. Part of this commission
is passed on to users as cashback, which can be transferred to their accounts free of charge. For credit cards, we
earn from account and card activations and from each purchase made.
Everything we have built since 2011 has been fundamental and necessary for the future ahead. We are creating a
complete ecosystem, with a fully integrated shopping platform and financial services in one app, where users will
have the best experience throughout the shopping process.

2011
Méliuz website went online and the company became part of San Pedro Valley, which is a startup
community in the city of Belo Horizonte.
2012
Méliuz was one of the 100 companies that were selected to participate in Startup Chile.
2013
with six employees, Méliuz reopened its Belo Horizonte office, after spending some time in Chile.
2016
the first version of Méliuz app was launched and the Engineering and Technology Center in Manaus
was inaugurated. That same year, the company was elected Startup of the Year by the
“Associação Brasileira de Startups” (in English, Brazilian Association of
Startups).
2017
Méliuz app was voted Brazilians 6th favourite shopping app, according to the Survey
“Conectaí”, carried out by IBOPE (Portuguese acronym for Brazilian Institute of
Public Opinion and Statistics)
2018
Méliuz created the Cashback Day (May 29) - the date on which it offers the best purchasing
conditions in its marketplace, which attracts new users and contributes to increasing partner sales.
Also in 2018, Méliuz Partners was launched, an exclusive reward program for digital influencers.
2019
marked the company's entry into the financial services market, with the launch of the co-branded
credit card in partnership with Pan Bank. This new product came with no annual fee and offers up to 1.8%
cashback on purchases made at any establishment.
2020
we were the first startup to go public on the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3)
2020
Also in 2020, we launched two new products: Gift Cards and Mobile Top-Up, which are available for
purchase within the company's app. Those new features help users save on services they use on a
daily basis by earning cashback everytime they buy credits.
2021
The company expanded its operations in the financial services vertical with the launch of Méliuz
Loans, a platform that allows users to simulate loans at dozens of financial institutions all at once in
a personalized, free, fast and safe manner.
2021
With the IPO, five companies were acquired in order to offer to our users an even more complete and fully
integrated ecosystem between vertical shopping (marketplace) and financial services. Today, the CASH3
group, formed from these acquisitions, has Picodi, Bankly (acquisition to be completed), Promobit,
Melhor Plano, Alter and Muambator.
2021 Still in 2021, we carried out our first follow-on. In July, we raised
approximately R$600 million in order to continue expanding our operations in the shopping and financial
services verticals.
2021 We opened the waiting list for our new credit card: the first without a
magnetic stripe in Brazil, without an annual fee, with cashback and cryptoback. The list registered more
than 200,000 subscribers in just two weeks.
2022 Together with our new card, we launched a new App, integrating shopping
and financial services into a single ecosystem, in addition to offering a new way to invest in bitcoin. To
mark this moment and reinforce our mission, we also launched a new visual identity: fluid and without
corners, just like the new Méliuz experience, now much more complete.
2023We announce a strategic alliance with Banco BV to offer financial
products.
2023We launched Méliuz Prime: a subscription designed to increase user
engagement and retention while generating recurring revenue.
2024Launch of “Méliuz Cofrinho”: Simplified and customized
investment in CDB bonds.
